As we approach the sacred month of Ramadan, the Islamic Society of South Australia reminds you of the immense mercy and blessings that Allah سبحانه وتعالى has bestowed upon us in this honored time.
May this month be a means of purification, elevation in Iman, and an opportunity to draw closer to Allah through fasting, salah, and increased acts of worship.
To assist you in making the most of this blessed period, we have prepared the following attachments for your benefit.

Itikaf
Itikaf will be allowed only at the last 10 days of Ramadan. Due to facility limitations, itikaf is only available at our Marion location. This is because Marion has a shower facility, which is essential for those staying in.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please note the following registration requirements for Itikaf:
- Age restrictions: Open to participants aged 16+ only.
- Registration deadline: 20 March 2025 to secure your spot.

Community Weekend Gathering (Bring a plate)
Every Friday or Sunday (refer to flyer) in Ramadan, gather with us for a blessed evening of community, connection, and breaking our fast together!
- Bring a Plate to Share!
- We invite you to bring a dish to share with the community, fostering a spirit of generosity and togetherness.
- Dates and water will be provided at each masjid.

- Location: all 3 masjids (Marion, Wandana and Elizabeth)
- Time: gather approximately 20 minutes before Magrib


Safety and Parking Matters
As we welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, we kindly remind everyone to prioritize safety and responsible parking.
- Parking Guidelines
- Please park your vehicles responsibly, avoiding blockage of pavements, driveways, and emergency exits.
- Be mindful of designated parking spaces and avoid double parking.
- Child Safety
- Parents, please ensure your children are supervised at all times, especially in the parking areas and surrounding streets.
- Let’s work together to create a safe environment for everyone.
- General Safety
- Be aware of your surroundings, especially during peak hours and nighttime prayers.
- Report any concerns or incidents to our security team or management.

Yes, light refreshment such as dates, water and fruits will be served.
You are also encouraged to bring a plate to share. Our centre’s kitchen is open for community’s usage
