Important Announcement from Islamic Society of South Australia
The Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially confirmed the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moon for the year 2026 – 1447H.
Accordingly:
1st of Dhul Hijjah:Monday, 18 May 2026
Day of Arafah:Tuesday, 26 May 2026
Eid Al-Adha:Wednesday, 27 May 2026
We ask Allah (SWT) to allow us all to witness these blessed days and to accept the Hajj of the pilgrims and the good deeds of all Muslims.
We also encourage the community to make the most of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah through:
• Dhikr and Takbeer
• Fasting, especially on the Day of Arafah
• Charity and maintaining family ties
• Dua and recitation of the Quran
