A Journey of Faith, Unity, and Service from 1838 to 2028

Celebrating 70 Years of the Islamic Society of South Australia

As part of the Islamic Society of South Australia’s 70th Anniversary celebrations, we proudly present our first-ever historical documentary, a captivating reflection on the remarkable journey of Muslims in South Australia.

From the earliest Muslim presence in 1838, through the formal establishment of the Islamic Society of South Australia (ISSA) in 1955, to our inspiring vision for 2028 and beyond, this documentary honours the enduring faith, resilience, and unity that continue to shape our community.

Through rare photographs, archival footage, and personal reflections, this short film traces the struggles, milestones, and achievements of generations who built the foundations of our community. It celebrates the ongoing mission of ISSA  to serve, unite, and represent South Australian Muslims with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
