As we approach the Al Salam Festival, I kindly ask everyone to help us achieve one of the main goals of this event: building bridges with the wider Australian community.
This year, we strongly encourage each Muslim family to invite at least one non-Muslim friend, neighbour, colleague, or classmate to attend the festival with them.
The festival will include religious stalls, social activities, food, children’s entertainment, and more. It is a beautiful opportunity to showcase our community, our values, and our hospitality.
Events like this help correct misconceptions about Muslims and strengthen our relationships with the wider community, especially in times when media and political narratives often misrepresent us.
Let’s all play our part.
